Shanghai Museum of Police Security

Having been open to the public since September 1999, Shanghai Museum of Police Security is the first public security-themed museum in China. It is composed of 12 exhibition halls, i.e. Public Security History hall, Martyrs Hall, Team Building Hall, Criminal Investigation Hall, Security Administration Hall, Transportation Management Hall, Prison and Detention Center Hall, Fire Management Hall, Police Equipment Hall, Police Affairs Exchange Hall, Fire Simulation Drilling Hall, and Scene Interactive Shooting Hall. The museum records the over-100-year history since police agencies were set up in Shanghai in 1854, and collects over 18,000 domestic and foreign public security (police)-themed collections since the late Qing Dynasty, including 49 pieces (sets) of national class I culture relics. The museum was rated as National Civilized Unit, National Class II Museum, National Adolescent Self-Protection Education Base, National Adolescent Scientific and Technological Education Base, National Science Popularization and Education Base, National Fire Science Popularization and Education Base, Shanghai Patriotic Promotion Site, Shanghai Volunteer Service Base, etc. Address: No.518 South Ruijin Road Tel: 021-22025130
