Qian Xuesen Library and Museum

Qian Xuesen was a world-famous outstanding scientist and the founder of China’s aerospace industry. Fully embodying noble patriotism, rigorous scientific attitude and high moral sentiments, he was known as people’s scientist. Qian Xuesen Library and Museum has been open to the public since December 2011. The major exhibits in the museum are divided into four parts: Founder of China’s Aerospace Industry, Pioneer of Frontier Science and Technology, Demeanor of People’s Scientist, and Strategic Scientist’s Road to Success. The museum collects over 76,000 documents, manuscripts and books, over 1,500 precious pictures and more than 700 physical objects of Qian Xuesen. Besides, the museum is equipped with cultural facilities such as Data Hall, Thematic Exhibition Hall and Academic Hall. Qian Xuesen Library and Museum is National Patriotic Education Demonstration Base, and will be built into Qian Xuesen Document and Physical Object Collection management Center, Academic Idea Research Center, and Scientific Achievement and Lofty Spirit Publicity and Exhibition Center.
