天祥寺街

天祥寺街因有天祥寺而得名。天祥寺建于明万历二十二年，清初重建，原名金贤寺，后因成都士民无限崇敬民族英雄、南宋宰相文天祥，在寺院内塑有一尊文天祥塑像，长年顶礼膜拜，金贤寺遂被改称为天祥寺。

Tianxiangsi Street

Tianxiangsi Street is so named because there is a Tianxiang Temple built in the 22nd year of the Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty and reconstructed in the early Qing Dynasty. It was originally named Jinxian Temple, and then was renamed Tianxiang Temple by Chengdu people who built a statue of Wen Tianxiang in the temple for memorizing Wen Tianxiang, the national hero and Prime Minister of the Southern Song Dynasty.
