Site of Huang Zhong Temple and Tomb
In the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Daoguang of the Qing Dynasty, a local farmer dug out a tombstone saying “Tomb of Duke Huang Zhong of Shu Kingdom” and reported the case to Liu Yuan, the learned and renowned lord of the farmland. Liu Yuan called up local squires and villagers to fund and renovate Tomb of Huang Zhong and build up a Huang Zhong Temple next to the tomb. During Cultural Revolution, the temple and tomb of Huang Zhong are destroyed. Today’s Huangzhong Street gets its name from Huang Zhong Temple and Tomb.
