钟塔

第七批全国重点文物保护单位，又名柯里斯纪念楼，由美国柯里斯捐建，1926年落成。钟塔南倚月荷池，北临一条人工渠。塔顶原为哥特式造型，悬挂一口大钟，铭刻“纪念基督”。钟塔曾是成都最高建筑，逢正点钟声响彻数十里。1954年，钟塔去掉原来的哥特式塔顶，改建加高为现在的样式。

Clock Tower
Also known as the Coles Memorial Clock Tower, it was built with donations of Coles and completed in 1926, listed as a State Protected Historic Site of the seventh batch. Adjacent to Yuehe Pond to the west and close to a manmade ditch to the north, the original tower top was Gothic style, hanging a large clock inscribed “To Commemorate Christ”. It was the highest structure in Chengdu and struck the hours with loud sound. The Gothic top was removed and rebuilt to the current style in 1954.
