成都画院建于1980年，所在地为古严真观（也称支机石庙，清代改建为关帝庙），现存的两株银杏为观前遗物。改革开放之初，城建部门将原鼓楼街和红星路上三个清代四合院迁建于此，形成“修旧如旧”的三进院落，是目前成都城区最典型的四合院建筑，也是全国唯一的四合院美术馆。

        Chengdu Art Academy

        Founded in 1980, Chengdu Art Academy is located in the ancient Yanzhen Temple (also known as Zhijishi Temple and reconstructed as Guandi Temple in the Qing Dynasty). Two existing gingkoes are relics in front of the temple. In the beginning of reform and opening up, the urban construction department relocated three siheyuan (quadrangles) of the Qing Dynasty formally located in Gulou Street and Hongxing Street here to form an original-appearance-look courtyard (with three halls). It is now the most typical courtyard building in downtown Chengdu and the only quadrangle courtyard art academy in China.
