四川历史上第一个技术职业学校——四川职业学校于1913年在此开办，不久改名为四川省立第一甲种工业学校，简称甲工校。1916年——1917年，陈毅元帅曾在甲工校染织专业就读。1935年，成都第一个女子职业学校——省立成都女子职业学校也在本校附近开办。

        Site of Sichuan No 1 Industrial School

        Sichuan Vocational School, the first technological and vocational school in Sichuan, was founded here in 1913 and renamed Sichuan No 1 Industrial School soon. The marshal Chen Yi majored in dyeing and weaving here from 1916 to 1917. In 1935, Sichuan Chengdu Female Vocational School, the first female vocational school in Chengdu, was founded near Class A Industrial School.
