Fangchi Street
It was Fangchi Lane of Shaocheng (Inner City) of Chengdu in the Qing Dynasty and was renamed Fangchi Street after the Xinhai Revolution. Covering about 5mu, the square pond in the street was the largest water body in Shaocheng and was planted with lotuses, but has been filled and leveled up. In the 60s of the last century, important cultural site of Ancient Shu Kingdom was found here. No. 22 in this street is one of the residences of Li Jiayu, famous general of Sichuan Army in the Republican Period and martyr in the Anti-Japanese War.
