柿子巷原为清代少城的太平胡同，因巷中有柿子树而在辛亥革命后改名柿子巷。闻名全国的四川近代骨科四大流派从这里走出了两家，即以杜自明、杜琼书父女为代表的满族杜氏骨科世家，和以何仁甫与他的3个儿子为代表的蒙族何氏骨科世家。

        Shizi Alley

        Shizi Alley, the former Taiping Lane of Shaocheng (Inner City) of Chengdu in the Qing Dynasty, is so called after the Xinhai Revolution as there are persimmon trees in the alley. Here is the home of two out of four nationally famed modern orthopedic systems, i.e. Du’s family of Manchu represented by Du Ziming and his daughter Du Qiongshu, and He’s family of Mongolian nationality represented by He Renfu and his three sons.
