槐树街原为清代少城的槐树胡同，辛亥革命后改名槐树街。此街过去的一片槐树林早已不存，现在尚有高大的银杏树挺立街中。民国时期，文献学家、川大中文系主任向宗鲁，法学家、川大法学院院长吴君毅，古典文学专家、川大中文系主任李炳英均曾在此街居住。

        Huaishu Street

        It was Huaishu Lane of Shaocheng (Inner City) in the Qing Dynasty, renamed Huaishu Street after the Xinhai Revolution. There are tall ginkgo trees in center of the street rather than its former pagoda tree forest. In the Republican Period, many great people lived here including Xiang Zonglu, a philologist and former head of Department of Literature of Sichuan University, Wu Junyi, a jurist and former dean of Law School of Sichuan University, and Li Bingying, a classical literature expert and former head of College of Literature of Sichuan University.
