栅子街原为清代少城的里仁胡同，辛亥革命后因有木制栅子而改名栅子街。“五四”时期著名学者、被誉为“成都言新学之最先者”、“四川只手打孔家店的老英雄”的吴虞，和他的夫人、女作家、成都第一张女报《女界报》主编曾兰的故居“爱智庐”就在此街。

        Zhazi Street

        It was Liren Lane of Shaocheng (Inner City) in the Qing Dynasty, renamed Zhazi Street for wooden fences after the Xinhai Revolution. The former residency “Aizhi Cottage” of WuYu, famous scholar in the May Fourth period, named the “Pioneer of Chengdu New Cultural Movement”, and “Hero of Independent Anti- Confucianism in Sichuan”, and his wife Zeng Lan, a writer, and chief editor of Woman Newspaper, the first woman’s newspaper of Chengdu was located here.
