
Xiaonan Street
The south gate Tongfu Gate of Shaocheng (Inner City) in the Qing Dynasty was also named Xiaonan Gate, and the street accessing to Shaocheng from Xiaonan Gate was named Xiaonanmen (centre) Street from Junping Street in south and Fangchi Cross in north. It was renamed Xiaonan Street and extended to cross of Citang Street in north after the Xinhai Revolution, and extended to the Nanhe River as south extension of Changshun Street in recent years. Chengdu Municipal Hospital was established here in 1943 and moved to Zhimin Road after the founding of New China, now namely Chengdu No 7 People’s Hospital.
