东城根街

东城根街原为清代少城东城墙内的南北通道，原名东城根。辛亥革命后拆除了少城城墙，1918年在东城根的基础上修建了街道，命名为东城根街。“城根”是清初由满蒙同胞从北京带来的方言词汇，保存为成都街道名称的仅此一例，在我国南方各城市中也仅此一例。

Dongchenggen Street

It was a south-north passage within the east city wall of Shaocheng (Inner City) in the Qing Dynasty, formerly named Dong Chenggen. The city wall was torn down after the Xinhai Revolution, and a street was built on it in 1918, namely Dongchenggen Street. “Chenggen” is a dialect word brought in by Manchu and Mongolia people in the early Qing Dynasty and saved as a street name of Chengdu, unique in Chengdu even in south China.
