成都修建城墙始于战国晚期，几经兴废，近代的城墙建于清初，拆毁于1958年，现存残墙9段。成都城墙是研究成都建筑史、城区分布结构、军事防御、城廓构建等极为重要的实物资料。

        Chengdu Ancient City Wall
        The city wall of Chengdu was begun to be built in the late Warring States Period, but the lastly rebuilt was in the early Qing Dynasty after rises and falls. It was destroyed in 1958, only 9 sections remained. Only one gate is preserved at Beijiaochang. It provides real object references for researches of Chengdu architectural history, city layout, military defense and city wall construction, etc.
