        王右木(1887—1924年),四川江油人,四川最早的马克思主义传播者和中国共产党在四川最早的领导人。他留学日本回成都后居家于大坝巷(今体育场路与顺城大街交汇处)5号,于1920年组织马克思主义读书会,1922年创办《人声报》,同年建立中国社会主义青年团成都地方执行委员会,1923年组建成都劳工联合会。他于1923年加入中国共产党以后立即建立中国共产党成都独立小组。这些革命活动都是以他在大坝巷的家为活动据点。1924年秋,他去广州参加党中央会议后返回成都时在贵州土城不幸失踪。



        Wang Youmu’s Former Residence

        Wang Youmu (1887-1924), born in Jiangyou, Sichuan, was the first person who publicized Marxism in Sichuan and the first leader of the CPC in Sichuan. After came back from study in Japan, he lived in No. 5, Dabaxiang (present intersection of Tiyuchang Road and Shuncheng Street) and founded the Marxism Reading Club in 1920, started Rensheng News in 1922, and in the same year established Chengdu Executive Committee of Chinese Socialist Youth League. One year later, he founded the Chengdu Federation of Labor. All these revolutionary activities were planed and based in his house. In autumn 1924, he was missing in Tucheng, Guizhou Province when he was on his way back home after attended the CPC Central Committee Meeting.
