“宁”为南京简称。“宁村”是抗战期间金陵大学在此修建的宿舍，半为学生宿舍，半为教工大院。全是茅草屋，教工戴安邦、陈纳逊、牟宗三等在此居住。金大回迁后改为华大教师宿舍，中文系教授缪钺曾居于此。

        Ningcun Dormitory
        Ning is short for Nanjing. Ningcun Dormitory was built by the University of Nanking for students and staff during the anti-Japanese war. It is a thatched building where Dai Anbang, Chen Naxun and Mou Zongsan lived. After the University of Nanking moved back, it was changed to be the dormitory for staff of West China Union University, and the professor in Chinese Department, Miao Yue, lived here for a time.
